Frequently asked questions

01Is the décote applied?
No — the décote (small reduction for low-income taxpayers) is not modeled in this version. Your real IR may be slightly lower if you're near the bottom of the bracket.
02Cadre vs non-cadre?
Social charges in this tool are modeled as a flat ~22%. Real rates differ slightly: cadres pay extra Apec (~0.024%) and have different unemployment contributions.
03What about prélèvement à la source?
PAS is the monthly withholding mechanism. The final IR amount you owe is the same — PAS is just how it's collected. This calculator shows the annual liability.
